A rare opportunity lurks on the horizon. It would be easy to poo-poo England’s recent trouncing of Italy in this year’s 6 Nations Rugby Tournament. Italy may be the weakest team but they are no push-over, and England’s home performance demonstrated a re-invigorated, youthful and ambitious side.

England remains nominally at the top of the table, but the real test will be the clash against ancient rivals France. Another comfortable victory over France at home may well secure England’s success at this year’s 6 Nations.

Events Diary :: Build Up To 2011 Six Nations Rugby Tournament

One of the joys of the British Winter’s sporting calendar is the Six Nations Rugby Tournament. Fierce friendly rivalry exists between the nations of Britain, alongside our famous ‘enemy’ France and new-comer Italy.

The action kicks off on 4th February with England playing away at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium against Wales. On the 5th February, Rugby Union fans are treated to a double with Ireland playing away to Italy and Scotland playing away to France.
