Ensure every member of your audience is involved and actively participating throughout your conferences and meetings with our new software solutions.

Examples of it’s use include:

  • Interactive voting
  • Text Messaging
  • Q&A sessions
  • Interactive Quizzes
  • Evaluation and comparison Workshops
  • Audience demographics
  • Brainstorming / Feedback Sessions

Based upon your pre-determined conference schedule, we can create an application that in a simple and intuitive way gave each team clear instructions on where delegates need to go and what to do at certain points in time. New instructions can be provided to each Team/ Phone throughout the day.

Networking- after having divided the employees into their teams, guide them to a room within the venue and here instruct them to follow a number of steps that would trigger networking between the participants. E.g. Set questions/ tasks which require teams to network and find out information from other teams within the room. The aim is to gather as many points as possible within a set time frame.

At the end of the session all phones are triggered and participants are instructed to go to the main plenary session. The phones can then be switched to interactivity mode and enable participation by participants throughout the session.

Questions can be asked and a response given by participants- the results can be shown live as part of the presentation. Participants are able to send anonymous questions / Feedback to the speaker. Teams can be directed into various breakout sessions by the software. E.g: Team building –each team received a number of quizzes, fact questions and location based missions and photo challenges that were to be solved as quickly as possible; Feedback sessions; Training etc. Eg: Feedback Session – as this information can be displayed live. Teams are asked to pick one issue and sit down to come up with a solution to that specific problem. This session can be facilitated to help and guide teams.

Conference close and wrap up: Teams are instructed to head back to the main plenary room where the days events can be wrapped up. Photos from the Team Event / scavenger hunt photo missions can be shown as the teams re enter, and all the business problems and suggested solutions were ready to be displayed on screen. The CEO can hold a wrap-up session where some of the business problems flagged up in the feedback session are addressed by the management team. Further actions are set for the management team to address and communicate back to participants.

It’s a game of two halves! Ideal for groups who want to hone their racing skills and add a real competitive edge to their sailing event. It’s an action packed day designed to exercise the mind as well as the body!

Challenge 1 is to race around the cans in our matched Swan 55s; the first boat to cross the line takes the honours. Following some boat familiarisation, we give you the brief, help you organise your racing team and set up a race course for you. You have to add muscle, motivation and team tactics to ensure that you out manoeuvre your opposition to take poll position and retain an advantage to the finish. You’ll learn how to trim the sails, steer the yacht, and some basic tide and navigation skills too. We’ll stop for a picnic style lunch in a sheltered anchorage; we often use Osborne Bay off the Isle of Wight, which is where Queen Victoria used to summer.

During lunch we introduce the Second challenge which is a race with a difference. We call it our Race Strategy Challenge where we put each team fully in charge of their own destiny! The objective of the Challenge is to collect maximum points by rounding scored bouys! Based on your newly acquired knowledge you decide the course you’re going to sail taking into consideration the effects of the wind and tide. It’s a game of strategy as well as skill. You’ll need to really pull together as a team and allocate your best resources to the jobs in hand. You’ll have time to plan your route and allocate roles to each of the team members.

There are further opportunities to score bonus points during the Challenge, but beware we also apply penalty points for misdemeanours! The yacht with the highest score wins the Challenge. The deciding factor …. the Yachting Nautical Quiz. Following an exhilarating and competitive day on the water you can test your local and nautical knowledge with our fun quiz, on the return trip home. A chance to score some extra points which could make all the difference to your final total and your position on the podium! We serve a welcome afternoon tea with homemade scones and cakes on our return journey along the picturesque River Hamble. This unique sailing event is a complex, engaging and fun challenge with something for everyone. We can accommodate up to 24 persons on board 2 Yachts. Package Details available here.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any questions you may have by calling 0845 491 8743 or emailing shop@12-degrees.co.uk.

Events can be extremely popular, drawing crowds of like-minded individuals from all over the world to share similar thoughts, dreams, experiences, interests and so on. In business terms, events can be immensely profitable, primarily because events stimulate trade and networking.

When considering engaging any Event Supplier it is imperative to ensure that they have adequate Public liability insurance to cover the activities they are running on your behalf.

12 degrees has cover in place with Event Assured a specialist event Insurer who is on hand to respond to ensure cover is in place for every event they run.  Free quotations can be provided by many specialist providers including Constructaquote, who will ensure that activities are financially covered should something go wrong.

Events should run like clockwork and in the majority of cases they do, however when they do not got to plan there is a risk they could cost you money. Having public liability cover in place ensures that your event activities are covered should something go wrong.

The most obvious reason why public liability insurance is essential for event organisers, is that members of the public might suffer injury, illness or proprietary damage as a result of event activities. In the UK, event organisers must adhere to all relevant health and safety laws to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of every person who may be affected by the activities of an event. Carrying out a risk assessment of an event is essential for this reason, but even with thorough implementation things can sometimes go wrong.

Without public liability cover, event organisers expose themselves to potentially ruinous claims.

The level of public liability cover provided by an insurer should be high enough to absorb most claims, so it is not uncommon for policies to set very high maximum limits (almost always in the millions). One risk specific to events is that a single accident can cause widespread damage and multiple injuries, so it is essential that event organisers do not choose a default policy but instead select one that caters to events.

In addition to the Public Liability Insurance Event Organisers must also have employers’ liability insurance if they employ at least one person.   This too is a legal requirement in the UK, employers’ liability insurance can act in similar ways to public liability cover but it’s different being that it is relevant to employees.
